The first 22 acres of our Southwind Estate vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley were planted in the summer of 2008. As we wait for those young vineyard blocks to produce fruit, we source grapes from select vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley and Columbia Valley AVAs. Winemaker Brian Rudin works closely with each grape grower and our selected blocks from their vineyards to assure top quality fruit for Cadaretta.

Our 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is blended from seven different vineyard sources: – Wallula Vineyard – Heather Hill Vineyard – Gamache Vineyard – Spring Creek Vineyard – Alder Ridge Vineyard – Pepper Bridge Vineyard – Stone Tree Vineyard

Cadaretta Cabernet Sauvignon attempts to emulate a great red Bordeaux, with plenty of effusive red and black fruit character, balanced by judicious application of oak and plenty of tannin. The wine reflects the French heritage of winemaker Virginie Bourgue, but the flavors are pure Washington State: elegant and balanced, with plum and cassis aromas and a rich, lingering mouthfeel.
